New Moon In Aries: It’s Up To You

The April 5th Aries New Moon (15 deg) squares Saturn in Capricorn, so there’s a powerful impulse to surge forward(Aries) with a new beginning, but you’ll run into restrictions (rules, fears, authority).

While this may appear to be a downer, it’s really a prompt for you to get brave. Aries is the sign of the warrior and pioneer – raw energy and assertiveness. What happens when you’re confronted with limits? Do you fold?

NO!!

You buckle down and figure out how to work with those rules while still pushing forward. You meet the challenge and use the slowdown (Saturn) to fuel your determination. The energy is strong, independent and focused; use the limits to your advantage as they cut out what’s a waste of your time while forcing you to move in one direction. There will be no distractions and no fussing.

The square is a crisis, so the issue here is new impulse versus established authority; you may be challenging what’s established, and the extra effort will build endurance. Aries is not known for the long haul effort, but with Saturn involved there’s impetus to slow down and make it last.

Saturn makes things real, even with the hard aspects. So there’s good potential for this beginning to be the real deal, but it will require extra effort. Note that this New Moon trines Ceres (nurturing) in Sagittarius, hinting at potential for future growth, but the key is nurturing independence. Everything about this New Moon screams “self-sufficiency” – Aries is the warrior, Saturn demands responsibility and maturity, Sagittarius encourages freedom.

There’s no one to rely on but you.
