Full Moon in Leo: Big Drama

The February 9th Full Moon (20 deg Leo, 2:33 am EST) will put the spotlight on dramatic results. Leo is the sign of pride, power and performance – what happens will be enhanced by the drive for attention or stubborn displays of ego.

The Moon makes a wide trine to Mars in Sagittarius, so events will be fuelled by optimistic and passionate actions. This could be a celebratory result or an exit that occurs with flare and fire. The Aquarius Sun will trine Juno Rx in Libra, so the re-evaluation of partnership agreements will be part of this Full Moon. While results could go either way, they won’t be quiet.

This Moon receives no hard aspects, so even though it will be an attention-grabber, the culmination is likely to flow easily and quickly. What’s exposed (perhaps very publicly) will take you smoothly into a new chapter. Results/endings will have an “ah yes, of course” vibe, even if they initially catch you off guard. Overall, this is your time to make a grand exit, put the spotlight on what you’ve created or bask in the glow of something that makes you feel special. Your audience awaits: will you put yourself out there?

Venus in Aries will be applying to a conjunction with Chiron. While not aspecting this Moon, the intensifying energy of love (Venus) and pain (Chiron) suggests an undertone of raw vulnerability. This Moon could be about having the courage to be open about what scares you, and to be proud about what hurts. Venus in Aries hides nothing.
