Daily Astrology~March 21st, 2020: Saturn Into Aquarius, Vesta Into Gemini
Saturn enters Aquarius (11:58 pm EDT)
Vesta enters Gemini (1:06 am EDT)
Saturn’s Aquarius ingress will forever be tied to the Coronavirus and social (Aquarius) distancing (Saturn). As the sign of the collective, Aquarius reminds us that we are all in this together, even if some of us live on the fringe. Saturn applies rules, authority and responsibility to this, and as the traditional ruler of Aquarius, strongly restrained logic and detachment.
“It’s not personal” says Saturn in Aquarius.
I discussed the role this transit might play in the current crisis (in thispost)so now I’ll look at how this transit might impact you as an individual.
The house(s) in your chart that hold Aquarius is where Saturn will apply restrictions and enhanced focus. Any planets/asteroids/Nodes in Aquarius will be sharply defined, so you’ll know exactly how the newly emerging rules will apply to you. Aquarius is more about detachment than liberation (detachment as a form of freedom), and I think this transit will emphasize this. You might use this energy to isolate more (Aquarius has a loner streak) or (alternatively) shoulder your social obligations. It all depends on what your current relationship to society is.
Saturn Rx will dip back into Capricorn in July, which will signal a re-evaluation of the new rules. Temporarily stepping back to make sure certain traditions are really over. The screen shot below shows the dates/times of Saturn’s stations and ingresses.

It’s interesting that Vesta (devotion and absolute focus) is also changing signs today. I feel that Vesta acts like an extreme version of Saturn – limits driven by obsession or devotion. But she’s moving into Gemini, the sign of duality and fast-moving information. So focus will be difficult to maintain – you could experience a revolving door of “sacred” issues.
What’s truly important? It could suggest that everything becomes important, or that you are torn between two sides of the same issue. The duality of what’s sacred to you could be a theme – for example, religion/spirituality, commitment/restlessness, love your family/hate your family. During this transit, consider if it’s possible to honour this duality.
Vesta exits Gemini for Cancer on June 3rd.
